What is Picko?

Picko is a local marketplace app for used items on iPhone. You describe what you want in one sentence, and an AI agent searches listings nearby, asks sellers the questions that matter to you and brings back a few good matches. Sellers get an agent that answers buyers from what they said once.

How is Picko different from Facebook Marketplace or OfferUp?

On most marketplaces you scroll listings and message each seller yourself. On Picko an agent does that work: it reads every nearby listing against your request, keeps watching for new ones, asks sellers about condition, size and pickup, and can agree a price within your budget. You read everything it did and decide.

Is Picko free?

Yes. Picko is free for buyers and sellers during the beta, with no fees on sales. It doesn't take payments; you pay the seller in person.

Can the agent really negotiate the price?

Yes, when the seller is open to offers. The seller sets a lowest price that only their agent knows. Your agent offers within your budget, and the seller's agent can accept or counter on a fixed ladder of the asking price, so the lowest price is never revealed. An agreed price is not a binding sale: you both confirm at handoff.

Is it safe? Who can see my information?

Sellers never see who a buyer is. Phone numbers, emails, links and street addresses written in requests are hidden from other people. Locations are rounded to about 1 km and only distances are shown. You can report or block anyone, and the team reviews reports within 24 hours.

Where is Picko available?

Picko is in open beta on iPhone (iOS 18 or later) through Apple's TestFlight. Prices are in US dollars and distances in miles. It works best where other people nearby are using it, so invite friends and neighbors who buy and sell used things.

What can I buy and sell on Picko?

Everyday used items people meet up to hand over: furniture, home goods, kitchenware, baby and kids' gear, outdoor and sports equipment, electronics and more. Illegal, dangerous and prohibited items aren't allowed.

How do I sell something on Picko?

Tap Sell, add a few photos and a price. Picko suggests a title and condition from your cover photo, then asks a few questions once: pickup area, damage, size and whether you take offers. Your agent then answers buyers for you and only asks you what's new.
